Nocona Carpenter's Shop
The Carpenter's Shop operates the Nocona Senior Citizen's Center and was the first organization to offer outreach services for the elderly in the area. Activities such as exercise programs, bingo, bridge, dominoes, puzzles, and an afternoon movie are available free to all senior citizens. Meals are served onsite to the public for a nominal charge, and the Meals on Wheels Program provides daily meals to those in need of the service.
Regular programs are offered periodically and have recently included such topics as Texas estate law, hearing loss, nursing services, and other topics of interest to senior citizens. Scheduled events such as dances, musical shows and holiday events are open to all ages.
